14 Days
Our PDC follows the 72 hour curriculum developed by Bill Molison and David Holmgren with a focus on tropical climate. Since many local farmers are also keen to learn PDC, we integrated local farming practices and knowledge into the curriculum which extends the course to 14 days.
Permaculture Design Course
Omah Lor has been hosting the Permaculture Design Course Certificate (PDC) since 2016
Omah Lor was designed and is run using permaculture ethics and principles. Staying at Omah Lor, participants will experience how permaculture ethics and principles are implemented not only in design, but also in day to day life.
Why Courses?
1. Learning in Omah Lor is not restricted to the classroom
Through discussions, demonstrations, observations and practical activities, you can experience permaculture first-hand for yourself.
2. Learn in the local context of Yogjakarta
You will learn how the people of Yogjakarta embody the principles of sustainable living in their indigenous knowledge system.
3. Get the opportunity to engage in these practices yourself, and design your own way of channelling these ideas!
