Nyantrik is a programme for young locals

aged 16 to 30 years old.



This programme is 100% free
given that you meet the eligibility criteria below

  • You must be an Indonesian citizen

  • Age between 16-30 years old

  • Originally from poor villages

  • Financially challenged

  • Able to speak English

2 Schemes of NYANTRIK

Students live with the teacher to learn day to day life of a profession

Students commute daily to teacher's home to work and learn

For those who live outside of Yogyakarta

For those who live within Yogyakarta

Participants will stay and learn at Omah Lor

Participants will not stay at Omah Lor 

After 6 months Omah Lor stay, participants will be eligible to join a Permaculture Design Course

After completing 762 hours of working and learning at Omah Lor, participants will be eligible to join a Permaculture Design Course

NGENGER

MAGANG

  • Nyantrik is derived from a Javanese tradition of learning by closely following and assisting a teacher

​

  • Mentorship program that offers financially challenged Indonesian youth aged 16–30 from rural communities the opportunity to learn permaculture and sustainable living from a teacher

​

  • Eligible participants will get to participate in Omah Lor’s Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) courses after completing Nyantrik.
